Shipment information crosses system boundaries.
A logistics operation involves shipment events, data exchanged through EDI and APIs, and the internal systems teams use to run the work. Monitoring that operation means connecting those sources so they can be understood together.
The Logistics Control Tower work focused on that connection: an operational layer bringing shipment information and system flows into one place for monitoring and exception handling.
Connecting the flows to the daily operation.
Our contribution was to the operational layer connecting shipment events, EDI/API flows, and internal systems. This was a collaborative engagement; the scope described here is the work contributed within it.
- Shipment events
- Connecting shipment information to the operational view.
- EDI and API flows
- Bringing data exchanged between systems into the same operational context.
- Internal systems
- Linking the systems used inside the operation with those external flows.
- Monitoring and exceptions
- Supporting a shared place to monitor the operation and handle exceptions.
